This old pool was in desperate need of renovation. It was cracked in several places and later determined that the original shell didn’t have any structural rebar within it. Instead of repairing the various cracks and refinishing the pool, the customer made the wise decision of installing a new shell within the existing one. While doing so, we brought the single-drain system up to code with a dual-drain system. We removed the ladder and added a bench as a means of egress from the deep end. We shot the shell low to allow for the new brick coping to sit flush with the existing concrete deck. The customer chose an interesting tile from Luv Tile, Aqua Blue interior finish by StoneScapes, and some mosaic clown fish on the steps and bench to personalize it a bit.
This pool went from being an eye sore to something beautiful. Once the homeowner puts a fresh coat of paint on the deck, they’ll have something truly remarkable.
